Bespoke sliding doors blur the line between inside and out, while carefully chosen materials bring a tactile warmth throughout.

The staircase was redesigned and turned around, now featuring floating oak treads suspended from a blackened steel frame, with concealed handrails rising from the floor. A skylight above brings natural light deep into the heart of the home. The kitchen was custom-built and finished off-site, with book-matched marble splashbacks, a downdraft hob for uninterrupted shelving, and a tap offering filtered and boiling water.

Upstairs, the landing is bathed in daylight from the skylight above, leading to a master bedroom with bespoke wardrobes and integrated LED lighting, a seamless wetroom with built-in storage, and a second bedroom framed by a floor-to-ceiling window. Throughout the house, bespoke joinery offers thoughtful storage solutions — including a compact laundry cupboard on the landing.

The home’s character is completed by its refined exterior: larch decking, cedar fencing, and sharp Millboard cladding at the rear; and at the front, a traditional tiled path laid in herringbone and paired with angular railings that nod to the home’s heritage with a modern twist. Double-glazed sash windows and sustainable materials tie the renovation together, for a considered and characterful transformation, full of light, texture, and practicality.
